Palm Games  the best Palm game software on the Web
Free Palm games abound. But many don't work, so it's easy to get frustrated.

To save time, here are four freeware picks: Patience (solitaire), OpenChess, Backgammon by Schall Andras, and Palmtris (a Tetris knockoff). Find them at Palm game download sites (see Google links above). Each runs on most Palm devices, and truly free -- no trial period.

Freeware isn't perfect. Each of these 4 picks has minor problems. By contrast, our commercial favorites (at right and below) are all under $20, and much better than any freeware.
